Welcome to Photobook Genius, a website for creating Photobooks from your Social Media content. This Privacy Policy is designed to tell you about our practices regarding collection, use, and disclosure of information that you may provide via this site. Please be sure to read this entire Privacy Policy before using or submitting information to this site.
By using this site, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy and the Photobook Genius Terms of Use. Whenever you submit information via this site, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of that information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
So that we can create personalised products for you, you will be asked to grant us permission to access data held by your Social Media Provider (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Dropbox, Google Photos, or any other provider you may choose to connect with via our service).
We will request and store some basic "Personal Information", such as your name and email address.
The other information made available to us via your Social Media Provider (your "Media Content") will depend on the chosen service. We will request access to your photos, photo albums and other related media such as posts and videos (where available). This may also include (where available) captions, comments, photo locations and the list of people in each photo. Some of this information will be personally identifiable (that is, information that can be uniquely identified with you), and it may also be private information (i.e. something that you don't want to share publicly).
Where possible, your Media Content will be accessed directly on your device, but we may also process your Media Content on our Servers. We will not usually store your Media Content, except to retain copies of albums you have ordered (so that you may re-order those albums again).
So that we can print orders that have been placed, our service is permitted to access the information made available by your Social Media Provider when you are 'offline' (i.e. when you are no longer using our website, and even after you have logged out) for as long as is deemed acceptable by your Social Media Provider. When a need arises (such as in order to respond to a request by you, or to fix a problem that may have arisen) we may access the information made available by your Social Media Provider.
As you navigate through this site, certain anonymous information can be passively collected (that is, gathered without your actively providing the information) using various technologies, such as cookies, and navigational data collection (log files and server logs). Your Internet browser automatically transmits to this site some of this anonymous information, such as the URL of the Web site you just came from and the Internet Protocol (IP) address and the browser version your computer is currently using. This site may also collect anonymous information from your computer through cookies. At your request, we can delete your account and all of the information we hold related to your account such as your order history, media content and contact details.
